## Creating 3CX Digital Reception Voice Response Menus {#source-a4ad9ad5022df64b}

Digital Receptionists are automated answering systems that allow the caller to select a destination for a call.

The Digital Receptionist configuration is backed by a voice message that states the buttons to press during the call. These messages can be recorded directly within 3CX, or the messages can be created using a free text-to-voice service.

## Determine Your Call Flow {#source-3091fe0406d119dc}

Determine the numbers you want to present to a caller, and what action you want to take when the caller presses the individual numbers, from connecting to a queue, extension or ring group, another digital receptionist, or a voicemail box.

## Convert Your Call Flow to a Written Prompt {#source-c39f61c7e07ed643}

The Digital Receptionist prompt message is the spoken mirror of the call flow.

This can be recorded directly by a user within 3CX, or it can be produced via a text-to-voice service. Either way it should be pre-determined and ideally written down for future reference.

NOTE: Saving the script as a .txt file enables importing into an online text-to-voice service.
