# Configure Print Queues on Reference Computer

Configure queue defaults on a reference computer after the Mobility Print queues and correct drivers are installed. The black/duplex and booklet examples use a FujiFilm driver.

Once the Mobility Print queues are installed on the reference computer AND the correct print driver installed, each printer must be configured with the appropriate device settings and defaults that you want to enforce for users, such as setting defaults to black and Duplex.

The following is an example only as the process depends on the brand and model of printer.

## Default Black Duplex Print Queue Configuration

As a best practice to minimise printing and paper costs configure all printers for Black and Duplex printing by default as follows. (The following describes for a FujiFilm driver, so different brands will have a different process).

- Open the Printer Properties
- Select the Configure/Configuration tab. The driver should automatically detect which features and addons are installed, such as a finisher or staple unit for example. If not these options MUST be configured manually.
- Select the Advanced tab and click the Printing Defaults button.
- Set the Output colour to Black and White/Greyscale.
- Set Papersize to A4.
- Set 2-Sided Print/Duplex to Flip on Long Edge/2-Sided
- Select Booklet Off and No Staple.
- These default settings should be saved as Default Black Duplex.

## Other Settings

- Disable advanced printing features as this can cause errors with papercut. (Papercut recommendation).
- Open the Printer Properties
- Select the Advanced tab
- Untick the Enable advanced printing features.

## Booklet Print Queue Configuration

It makes things simpler for staff if a second Follow Me print queue is setup specifically for Booklet Printing, with settings as follows. (Again, the following describes for a FujiFilm drivers, so different brands will have a different process).

- Open the Printer Properties
- Select the Advanced tab and click the Printing Defaults button.
- Set the Output colour to Black and White/Greyscale.
- Set Paper Size to A4
- Set Output Paper Size to A3
- Set 2-Sided Print to Flip on Long Edge
- Set Booklet to Fold and Staple.
- Set Staple to No Staple.
