CodeTwo User Photos

Upload individual Microsoft 365 profile photos with CodeTwo User Photos. The source calls for downloaded photos and People Administrator activation before signing in.

Prerequisite

Download and install Download CodeTwo User Photos for Office 365

Download the photos

  • You will need a downloaded copy of the individual user photos you want to upload
  • It is recommended to use low resolution images as these will only be used on digital previews and any user can right click on a profile image and gain access to the original (think of what student could do with high res staff photos). Some schools use the same images used for Edumate.
  • These profile images are only visible inside of the organisation

Upload photos for an individual user

  1. Go to PIMs My roles - Microsoft Azure and elevate to the "People Administrator" role
  2. Open CodeTwo and sign in (must elevate before sign in)
  3. Let the groups in the left side column load

To bulk upload the same photo for students

There are a few options:

  1. Repeat the individual upload process for each student but select the same image file of the College logo
  2. Upload the College logo to one user -> right click on that user -> Copy Image -> right click on another user -> Paste Image -> repeat the paste for other users as needed
  3. Create the number of copies of the logo as required, then used a CSV file to bulk rename them to the student names, then user the CodeTwo bulk import tool.

$csvPath = "C:\path\to\userlist.csv"
$sourceImage = "C:\sourceimage.jpg"
$destinationFolder = "C:\destination\folder"

# Import CSV

$users = Import-Csv $csvPath

foreach ($user in $users) {

# Clean filename (remove invalid characters if needed)

$safeEmail = $email -replace '[\:*?"<>|]', '_'
