It is possible to exclude specific email addresses, email domains or even wildcard domains from being flagged as external. This is particularly useful for excluding emails that come from other cloud services that are a part of normal business operations, such as CiAnywhere, Learner.Link, Edumate etc.
The rationale behind using an allow list is to ensure end users don't become "numb" to the External email notifications, and are therefore more likely to be cautious when an email is flagged.
Only known and trusted email addresses or domains should be included in the exclusion list.
Domains should NOT be excluded if the domain is associated with a multi-tenant service.
