A NOTE on PXE Boot and DHCP
The captured setup places the DeployR server on the reimaging VLAN to avoid configuring IP helpers or DHCP options. This ensure that PXE boot broadcasts work out of the box without any significant network requirements.
If you want to keep your DeployR server on a separate "server" network you will need to setup IP Helpers on your core router, or use DHCP options to provide boot configuration.
The process is documented here DHCP Configuration | 2PXE Server | Product Documentation
More Advanced Configurations
There are a number of very cool features that make DeployR even more functional.
- AutoPilot Registration, both V1 and V2. This simplifies capturing the required data for registering with Autopilot, whether that is the hardware hash for V1 or the Corporate Device Identifier for V2.
- Installing the latest BIOS Updates
- Installing IntuneWin Applications
- Microsoft Connected Cache
- Nested Task Sequences
