Other 3CX Messages

Adapt the recorded after-hours and holiday voice-prompt examples for 3CX. The example office hours, destinations and return dates are sample message text.

You may also want to use a Text-to-Voice service for other 3CX recorded messages.

After Hours Script

You may also have an After Hours digital receptionist that requires a voice prompt to mirror the after hours call flow.

E.g.

Thanks for calling Chinchilla Christian College.

Our office hours are 8:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Holiday Scripts

Each school holiday, there is a period when reception is unattended. 3CX needs to have these unattended periods configured as holidays, with a specific holiday prompt assigned.

  • Logon to the 3CX Admin Console Admin Console - 3CX
  • Select Office Hours and choose the school.
  • Select the Office Hours tab and select Add
  • Give the holiday a name. The source suggests separate Term Break and Christmas Break entries.
  • Select Range of Days and select the start and end date. REMEMBER this should ONLY be the period when the reception is unattended.
  • Untick the Annually tick box. This is because the holidays almost never fall on the same start and end date, and therefore need to be edited each year.
  • Click the Prompt dropdown and select the required prompt, or upload a new prompt.
  • The Term Break prompt is generic and can be used for each term break holiday.
  • The Christmas Break specifically mentions the office opening date each January and needs to be re-created each year.
